As a fan of Woodrue going back to when I was reading Swamp Thing early during the Alan Moore run, this, as with any Woodrue focused page, is wonderful. Whether in his guise as the Floronic Man or as Dr. Woodrue, I've always found his story appearances very unsettling. Whenever he appears within a Swamp Thing story, I always feel this strong sense of foreboding, like something "wrong" is about to happen.
That occurs once more right here on this page, as we see Woodrue speaking to Pilgrim, flattering him a bit, speaking of ideas, sounding suspiciously like someone else we first met back in the first two-part story arc of this run...
He also mentions avatars. Is this a clue as to what we can expect to see happen with the thing laying on his operating table, when Season Two begins 3 months from now in March of 2022?
