This is it, the final page from Bat-Man: Second Knight series!

We open with an inset panel depicting a beautifully, weathered facade of a building. The GCPD, to be exact. Inside, we see Commissioner Gordon, being informed that the Hangman was blown into so many pieces that they don't have any way to ever identify who he was. Gordon is also informed that the Scarecrow may be in police custody for trying to sell his fear gas to the Nazis, but he's not cooperating.

A woman then hands Gordon a copy of the newspaper, fresh off the presses and tells him to read below the fold. That leads Gordon's (and ours!) eyes down to the "society page" looking photo of Bruce Wayne and Julie Madison. That last image of Bruce and Julie is pure Golden Age glamour. Soft smiles, sharp suits & old-school movie star lighting!  Gordon remarks aloud how nice it is to see Bruce finally settle down! Ah yes, and that, folks, is why no Bat-Man comics or stories were ever published after 1939!
