This is the original painting published as the cover to the 1968 paperback edition of the vintage novel Came A Cavalier by Frances Parkinson Keyes.

Lovely "widescreen" piece by Roger Kastel. For those of you who are unfamiliar with Kastel, you most certainly are very familiar with at least one of his paintings, as he is the artist who did the now famous paperback cover which later was also used as the movie poster for JAWS!
