As a lover of 1950's Hardboiled crime/detective fiction, especially in film and in artwork, I couldn't help but fall in love with the Blacksad series. The stories are really good and the the artwork is magnificent!

Here is a 14" x 17" original illustration featuring Blacksad and Natalia, once an actress and Blacksad's former lover. I love Natalia's Audrey Hepburn inspired Capri pants and blouse. Guarnido really nailed her posture, especially the hips and crossed legs. The way she's loosening Blacksad's tie is drawn so naturally, you can hear her telling Blacksad to loosen up. A lovely illustration featuring Blacksad and Natalia going out for some daytime fun!
