Mixed Media on 1/8" Illustration Board
This is the original painting published as the cover to the vintage Gothic romance paperback novel Twilight Forest, written by Clare Hamilton in 1973, which unlike all other Gothic novels, is actually set in Civil War San Francisco! The colours on this piece are especially fresh and incredibly vibrant, making this piece especially worthy of a custom frame and a spot on your wall!
The artist, Hector Garrido, had an extremely successful, decades long career and along with Gothic covers such as this one, is also well known for painting book covers for famous series such as Nancy Drew & The Hardy Boys and later in life became even more well known for having painted the artwork that appeared on the G.I. Joe toy packaging of the 1980's!
NOTE: The novel is shown for informational purposes only and is not included with the purchase of the painting.
