NOTE: These pages measure 16.5" x 21", slightly larger than twice-up size!

This page captures a frantic escape sequence, showcasing the Bat-Man’s raw physicality as he fights his way through the facility. Perkins uses a wide, horizontal panel to emphasize the power behind a single, jarring punch, with the ink work beautifully defining the anatomical tension in the hero's extended arm. The contrast between the dark, solid form of the Bat-Man and the more detailed, expressive rendering of the soldier’s face creates a visceral impact that anchors the action right in the center of the page.

The lower half of the board is particularly impressive for its textural variety and atmosphere. We see another fantastic application of the fingertip-applied white paint to create the swirling smoke of a tactical exit, giving the panels a gritty, hands-on feel that balances the cleaner line work. The sequence concludes with a moody, high-contrast shot of the Batmobile speeding away into the night. Perkins frames the car against a dense, ink-heavy forest, using the headlights to cut through the solid blacks and provide a cinematic, noir finish to the escape!
